As part of a phased office reconfiguration in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Marsh partnered with InterWork Office Solutions to support a large-scale office relocation and restack project. The project encompassed approximately 40,000 to 45,000 square feet
and supported ongoing renovation efforts while preparing the space for future occupancy. Work was executed over a three
month period and required coordination across both the King of Prussia office and the Hoboken, New Jersey location, which
served as the origin and staging point for reused assets.
InterWork provided comprehensive project management, overseeing move planning, logistics coordination,
decommissioning, furniture reuse, installation, and technology setup to ensure each phase aligned with
construction sequencing and operational requirements.
Sustainability planning was incorporated from the outset, with a focus on asset reuse, responsible material handling, and measurable ESG outcomes aligned with the client’s environmental objectives.
The project required careful coordination across multiple active environments, including occupied office areas, warehouse staging locations, and construction zones. Portions of the office remained operational throughout the project, requiring phased execution and controlled access to minimize disruption to daily business operations.
Building restrictions, freight elevator scheduling, and limited staging space at both locations added additional complexity. All activities needed to align closely with a broader renovation schedule, including furniture deliveries, power infrastructure work, and coordination with other on-site trades. Maintaining progress while adapting to changing site conditions required consistent communication, detailed planning, and hands-on oversight.
InterWork began with a detailed workstation inventory and documentation process at the Hoboken office to identify reusable assets and confirm quantities. Decommissioning efforts focused on selected areas, with workstations and components carefully dismantled and prepared for relocation, reuse, or removal. Reuse and salvage were prioritized wherever feasible, supporting asset management and sustainability objectives while reducing material waste.
Transportation and move logistics were managed through a series of coordinated transfers between Hoboken, King of Prussia, warehouse staging locations, and recycling facilities. Assets were consolidated and staged to support a phased installation approach that aligned with construction milestones and space readiness at the destination site.
At the King of Prussia office, InterWork supported the restack by managing furniture installation and workspace reconfiguration. Workstations were built out to support the new layout, with close coordination around power distribution and base building infrastructure. Installation activities were sequenced to allow for efficient turnover of work areas while maintaining organized and protected job sites.
Technology setup was completed in parallel with installation, allowing workstations to be delivered fully functional and ready for use. Throughout all phases, InterWork provided on-site project management, coordinated closely with client representatives and trade partners, and adjusted sequencing as needed to maintain schedule integrity. Floor protection, cleaning, and daily site organization were maintained to support an active workplace environment.
The project was completed on time and within the agreed phased schedule. The King of Prussia office was delivered ready for continued renovation and future occupancy, with workstations installed, powered, and configured for immediate use. A significant portion of furniture was successfully reused from the Hoboken office, contributing to a 98.6 percent material diversion rate and an estimated 90 tons of CO2 offset. These sustainability outcomes supported both environmental responsibility goals and overall project efficiency.
Final walkthroughs and closeout activities ensured all scope elements were addressed. Through structured planning, coordinated logistics, and consistent on-site management, InterWork delivered a full-service office relocation and restack solution that supported Marsh’s operational, scheduling, and facility requirements across both locations.
